The dryer detected an out-of-spec supply voltage — usually a partial 120V feed instead of the full 240V the heater needs, or a damaged power cord/outlet.

How to fix it
- Reset the dryer breaker — fully OFF, then back ON (both poles).
- Test the outlet with a multimeter — should read 240V across the hot legs and 120V from each leg to neutral.
- Unplug and inspect the cord, plug prongs, and outlet for heat damage or discoloration.
- Open the dryer terminal block cover and confirm cord screws are tight on all three (or four) terminals.
- Replace the power cord if any conductor is damaged.
- If supply tests good and connections are tight, the main control board needs replacement.
