What C-22 Means

A secondary cooking sensor (commonly the meat probe circuit or a secondary cavity sensor on dual-cavity models) is open, shorted, or out of range.

Symptoms

  • Code clears with a reset but returns when probe is used

How to Fix It

  1. Unplug the meat probe if installed and try to clear the code.

  3. Inspect the probe jack inside the cavity for bent or corroded pins.
  4. Test the meat probe resistance against spec — replace if open/shorted.
  5. Open the back panel and check the harness from the probe jack to the main PCB.
  6. Replace the probe jack assembly or main control board if no other fault is found.
