C-22 — Main Oven Temperature Sensor Shorted

C-22 indicates the MAIN oven temperature sensor circuit is shorted (resistance reads below the normal range, roughly under ~940 ohms). It is the oven temperature sensor, not a meat probe / secondary cooking sensor. Test the sensor and its wiring.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug the meat probe if installed and try to clear the code.
  2. Power-cycle the oven at the breaker for 5 minutes.
  3. Inspect the probe jack inside the cavity for bent or corroded pins.
  4. Test the meat probe resistance against spec — replace if open/shorted.
  5. Open the back panel and check the harness from the probe jack to the main PCB.
  6. Replace the probe jack assembly or main control board if no other fault is found.
