Samsung Oven C-30 — Main PCB Internal Sensor Error

Samsung Oven · Error code C-30

What C-30 Means

The control board's own internal temperature/diagnostic sensor is reading out of range, indicating a hardware fault on the main PCB.

Symptoms

  • C-30 displayed and oven won't run
  • Code returns after power cycle
  • Sometimes accompanied by C-31
  • No external sensor fault found

Common Causes

1
Failed onboard sensor IC

PCB-mounted thermistor or sensor IC failed.

2
Heat damage to the main PCB

Repeated high-temp cycles cooked nearby components.

3
Surge damage

Power event damaged the sensor circuit.

How to Fix It

  1. Power-cycle the oven at the breaker for 5 minutes.
  2. If the code persists, the fix is to replace the main control board — there's no field repair of the onboard sensor.
  3. Verify ventilation around the PCB compartment before installing a new board, and check for blocked vents (see C-31) to avoid recurrence.
  4. Confirm incoming line voltage is within spec before powering up the new board.
