E-0E — Door Lock Failure

E-0E is a door-lock failure: the oven door did not lock (typically about a minute after a self-clean cycle was initiated). It applies to current Samsung electric and gas ranges, not only older models.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug or shut breaker 5 minutes and restore power.
  2. Start and cancel a Self Clean cycle to drive the motor through its travel.
  3. Open the top panel and inspect/clean around the latch.
  4. Test the lock motor and microswitches with a multimeter.
  5. Replace the door lock assembly if motor or switches are bad.
  6. Replace the main control board if lock and wiring test good.
