OF OF — Demo / Cooling Off Mode

Not an error — the refrigerator is in showroom Demo Mode (also called Cooling Off). Lights and display work but the compressor never runs. Often left on after delivery or accidentally engaged.

How to fix it

  1. Locate the demo-mode key combo for your model (often Energy Saver + Power Freeze, or Freezer + Fridge + Power Cool — hold 3-8 seconds).
  2. Watch for the 'OF OF' to clear and the display to return to temperature readout.
  3. If unsure of the combo, look in the user manual under 'Demo Mode' or 'Showroom Mode'.
  4. Allow up to 24 hours for the fridge to reach setpoint after exiting demo mode.
