The ice maker isn't completing a harvest cycle correctly. The control board can't confirm the auger/ejector motor moved through its cycle, or the optics/sensors aren't returning a valid signal.

How to fix it

  1. Empty and dry the ice bin; check for jammed cubes or frost on the mold.
  2. Run a forced ice harvest from the test menu (model-specific button combo) and watch the cycle.
  3. Confirm water is reaching the ice maker (check fill tube for ice plug, verify inlet valve energizes).
  4. Wipe the IR emitter/receiver windows in the ice maker compartment.
  5. If the harvest motor doesn't run during a forced test, replace the ice maker assembly.
  6. If multiple ice maker attempts fail and water + sensors are good, replace the ice maker module.

  • Frozen or jammed ice maker Ice bridged the mold or auger — the motor stalls and the control flags an error.
