Companion to PC ER — the control is repeatedly trying to re-establish handshake with a panel or sub-board. Same root cause: harness or board issue between the main PCB and the door display.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug for 5 minutes; plug back in.
  2. Open and inspect the door-to-cabinet harness; reseat both ends.
  3. Look for corrosion or bent pins; clean with electronics contact cleaner.
  4. If error persists after reseating, swap or replace the door sub-PCB.
  5. Replace the main PCB if the door board doesn't resolve it.

Why it happens

Typical signs: PC CH cycling on display · Door panel intermittently dark · Buttons unresponsive

  • Intermittent harness contact Connector seated but with corroded or bent pins.
  • EMI / surge after storm Boards de-synced; power cycle usually clears it.
  • Door sub-PCB failing Marginal communication chip.
