How to fix it
- Unplug the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes, then plug back in.
- If PC ER persists, pop the top hinge cover and check the multi-pin connector(s) routing from the cabinet into the door — reseat firmly.
- Inspect wires for pinching or damage at the hinge.
- If reseating doesn't help, isolate by swapping or testing the door sub-PCB.
- Replace the main PCB as a last resort.
Why it happens

- Loose door harness connector Multi-pin connector at the top hinge area not fully seated.
- Power surge corrupted communication Boards lost sync — usually a power-cycle fixes it.
- Damaged harness Wires pinched at the hinge during reinstallation.
- Failed sub-PCB in the door Less common; replace door display board.
