F5E1 — door latch switch fault

How to fix it

  1. If door is locked, let oven cool fully — most won't unlock until below ~500F.
  2. Power off at the breaker for 5 minutes; restore and see if the latch homes itself.
  3. Access the top of the oven and inspect the door lock assembly for obstructions, broken gears, or burned wiring.
  4. Test the lock motor — replace the entire lock assembly if motor or switch failed.
  5. If lock assembly is good and wiring is intact, replace control board.
