How to fix it

  1. Unplug the unit and manually defrost for several hours.
  2. Locate the damper assembly behind the upper rear fridge wall.
  3. Remove and inspect for ice or debris on the flap.
  4. Test damper coil resistance per the tech sheet.
  5. Replace the damper assembly if it does not cycle on power-up.
  6. Replace the control board if a known-good damper still does not move.
