How to fix it

  1. Run the kitchen-sink hot tap for 30 seconds, then start the dishwasher again.
  2. Lower the water-heater thermostat to ~120°F.
  3. If on a recirculating loop or tankless, install a tempering valve at the dishwasher feed.
  4. If error persists with normal household water, test the in-tub thermistor for correct resistance vs temperature.
