Oven temperature exceeds limit during bake or clean cycle

Diagnose first: RTD should read ~1080 ohms at room temp. Out-of-spec sensor sends false high-temp signal. If sensor checks good, the ERC relay is likely stuck closed.

How to fix it

  1. Turn the oven off; if F2 appears during self-clean, let it cool and retry a normal bake.
  2. Unplug and measure the oven sensor resistance (about 1080-1090 ohms at room temp for GE).
  3. If the sensor is in spec, suspect a stuck relay on the control board.
