How to fix it

  1. Wait 2-3 minutes for the brewer to finish heating
  2. Listen for the heater clicking off and the ready light
  3. If 'Not Ready' persists past 5 minutes, unplug for 5 minutes and retry
  4. If still stuck after a reset, descale to remove scale insulating the heater
  5. If still stuck after descale, the heater has failed
