How to fix it

  1. Reset the breaker fully OFF then ON (both poles).
  2. Unplug the dryer and inspect the terminal block — tighten the cord connections.
  3. Check the power cord for damage or scorching.
  4. Have an electrician verify 240V at the outlet (120V leg-to-neutral, 240V leg-to-leg).
  5. Replace the cord or outlet as needed.
