How to fix it
- Open the lower access panel and unscrew the pump cleanout filter (have a towel ready — water will spill).
- Clear any debris, rinse the filter, and reinstall.
- Pull the unit out and check the drain hose for kinks or clogs; flush with warm water.
- Confirm the drain standpipe meets LG's height spec.
- If E21 persists, test the drain pump motor windings and replace if open.
- If pump tests good, suspect the pressure switch / level sensor and replace per service manual.
