PF — Power Failure during cycle

PF indicates the dryer lost AC power mid-cycle and resumed when power returned. It is informational, not a hardware fault, but it can mask an intermittent power problem if it recurs often.

How to fix it

  1. Press Start/Pause to clear PF and resume.
  2. If PF returns, unplug the dryer for 60 seconds, then plug back in to factory-reset.
  3. Check the 30A double-pole breaker in the panel — reset if tripped, replace if it trips repeatedly.
  4. Inspect the cord and outlet for heat discoloration, scorch marks, or loose lugs and replace any damaged parts.

Typical signs: PF shown after a power blip · Cycle stopped partway through · Display flashing on resume

  • Brief utility power outage Grid sag or momentary outage interrupted the cycle.
  • Tripped breaker 240V breaker tripped and was reset.
