How to fix it

  1. Open and firmly close the lid — listen for the click.
  2. Inspect the lid strike (plastic peg on the lid) for cracks; replace if broken.
  3. Unplug the washer and check the lid switch with a multimeter — should change continuity when activated.
  4. Inspect harness from lid switch back to CCU for cuts.
  5. Replace lid switch or strike assembly as needed.
