How to fix it

  1. Unplug washer for 1 minute, plug back in, try a short cycle.
  2. Open the door and inspect the lock cavity for debris.
  3. Check that the door closes flush and the strike enters the lock cleanly.
  4. If lock still won't engage, unplug and replace the door lock assembly.
  5. Run a Rinse + Spin to confirm.
