What oL Means

The washer detected too large a load for the selected cycle and cannot agitate or spin safely. Common on HE top-loaders that calculate load size at the start.

Symptoms

  • oL on display
  • Cycle pauses at start
  • Tub fails to balance for spin

Common Causes

Drum overloaded

Clothes packed above the agitator/impeller line.

Items too dense

Wet rugs or single heavy item exceeds capacity.

Pressure sensor mis-calibration

Sensor reports load heavier than actual.

How to Fix It

  1. Pause the cycle and remove about a third of the load.
  2. Fluff and redistribute remaining clothes evenly.
  3. Restart on the appropriate cycle (Bulky for large items).
  4. If oL appears with normal loads, check pressure sensor hose and connections per F3E1 steps.
