Diagnose first: Let the robot cool to room temperature and try a full discharge/charge cycle before replacing anything — a real overheat event resolves on its own. Use a genuine Roborock or well-reviewed OEM-equivalent battery; generic packs commonly don't seat correctly with the battery management system and can retrigger this same error.

How to fix it
- Let the robot cool to room temperature for at least 1 hour.
- Try a full discharge then full charge cycle.
- Power-cycle the robot using the hardware switch.
- If the error persists, the battery pack needs replacement (4 screws under the cover on most models).
- Use only genuine Roborock or quality OEM-equivalent batteries — generic packs may not seat properly with the BMS.
