Error 22 — Dock signal sensor dirty

The front IR receiver the robot uses to find the dock is dirty or blocked. It can clean fine but may not be able to return to charge.

How to fix it

  1. Wipe the front IR window on the robot with a dry microfiber cloth.
  2. Wipe the front face of the dock where the IR transmitter is.
  3. Move any objects within 3 feet on either side of the dock.
  4. Ensure 1.5 feet clearance on each side and 5 feet in front of the dock.
  5. Send the robot to dock from the app to test.

Why it happens

Typical signs: Voice prompt 'Dock signal sensor is dirty' · App shows Error 22 · Robot can't find dock · Cleans normally but stops in a random spot when finished

  • Dust or smudge on front IR window Receiver on the bumper accumulates dust.
