Error 26 — Wall Sensor Dirty

Error 26 means the wall-following sensor is dirty. This is documented on S5 Max-generation models; newer Roborock models report a dirty wall sensor as Error 15 instead. Wipe the sensor clean to resolve it.

How to fix it

  1. Power off the robot or return it to the dock.
  2. Locate the wall-following sensor on the side of the robot (this is separate from the underside cliff sensors).
  3. Wipe the sensor lens clean with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth.
  4. Wipe away any dust buildup on the surrounding bumper area as well.
  5. Restart and resume cleaning. If the error (26, or 15 on newer models) returns immediately after cleaning, the sensor itself may need service.
