How to fix it

  1. Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes; restore power.
  2. If Er does not return, watch for a week — single-event glitches do not need repair.
  3. If Er returns repeatedly, check the outlet with a multimeter for voltage between 110-125V AC.
  4. Move the fridge to a dedicated 15A circuit if it is sharing with a high-draw appliance.
