Whirlpool Washer F0E2 — Over Suds Detected
Whirlpool Washer · Error code F0E2
What F0E2 Means
The pressure sensor is reading the foam signature of too many suds in the tub. The washer pauses and runs an extended rinse to break the suds down before continuing.
Symptoms
- Cycle time jumps way up unexpectedly
- Visible mound of suds in the drum
- F0 E2 or Sud / Sd on the display
- Long pauses with no movement
Common Causes
Most common cause — using regular detergent in an HE washer, or overdosing HE detergent.
Non-HE detergent generates excessive suds in a low-water HE machine.
Soft water amplifies sudsing; cut detergent in half.
Sensor false-reads suds.
How to Fix It
- Let the washer finish its automatic suds-reduction routine (it can take 1-2 hours).
- Switch to HE-rated detergent only, and use no more than 2 tablespoons per load.
- Run a Clean Washer cycle with affresh or 1 cup of bleach to flush residue.
- If the code keeps coming with the correct detergent dose, check the pressure-sensor air hose for blockage.
