F0E2 — Over Suds Detected

The pressure sensor is reading the foam signature of too many suds in the tub. The washer pauses and runs an extended rinse to break the suds down before continuing.

How to fix it

  1. Let the washer finish its automatic suds-reduction routine (it can take 1-2 hours).
  2. Switch to HE-rated detergent only, and use no more than 2 tablespoons per load.
  3. Run a Clean Washer cycle with affresh or 1 cup of bleach to flush residue.
  4. If the code keeps coming with the correct detergent dose, check the pressure-sensor air hose for blockage.

  • Too much detergent Most common cause — using regular detergent in an HE washer, or overdosing HE detergent.
  • Wrong detergent type Non-HE detergent generates excessive suds in a low-water HE machine.
  • Soft water plus normal dose Soft water amplifies sudsing; cut detergent in half.
  • Pressure transducer hose clogged Sensor false-reads suds.
