LoC — / LC — Control Lock Active

The Control Lock (child lock) feature is on. Button presses are ignored intentionally until you turn the lock off.

DIY difficulty
Easy

How to fix it

  1. Press and hold the Control Lock button (or the button marked with a key icon) for 3-5 seconds until LoC disappears.
  2. On some models the lock toggle is a long-press of a specific cycle button — check the control panel printing.
  3. If LoC won't clear, unplug for 5 minutes and try again.
  4. If LoC re-enables itself constantly, suspect a stuck panel button (F2E1).

Why it happens

Typical signs: 'LoC' or 'LC' shown · Buttons don't respond · Lock icon lit on the display · Cycle won't start

  • Control Lock enabled Either toggled on intentionally or hit by accident.
  • Stuck control lock button If the lock keeps re-enabling itself after you clear it, the button is stuck — see F2E1.
