How to fix it

  1. Open and firmly close each door; verify the alarm clears.
  2. Check that bins, drawers, and stored items are not blocking the seal.
  3. Inspect the gasket for tears or compression set; replace if damaged.
  4. Locate the reed/plunger switch at the top of the door frame and test for state change with a multimeter.
  5. Realign the door magnet or replace the switch as needed.
