Bosch's official US refrigeration error-code page documents only three entries: E02 (icemaker/ice-water communication), E03 (dispenser UI), and a generic 'E or D' catch-all covering any other E/D message (which instructs a power-cycle, then contacting support). 'EE' as a demo/showroom-mode indicator is not documented in Bosch's official US list. If your unit shows EE and is not cooling, first check whether it is in demo/showroom mode per your model's manual; otherwise follow Bosch's generic guidance and have it diagnosed.

How to fix it

  1. Press and hold the Alarm + Super (or model-specific combo per the owner's manual) for ~10 seconds to exit demo mode.
  2. Listen for the compressor to start within 5-10 minutes of exiting demo mode.
  3. If demo mode cannot be exited, unplug for 10 minutes and retry.
  4. If EE persists after a full reset, the main control board EEPROM is the likely failure — replace the board.
  5. After replacement, verify model/serial programming per the tech sheet.
