Frigidaire Dishwasher iF1 — Flow meter fault

Frigidaire Dishwasher · Error code iF1

What iF1 Means

The flow meter is not sending pulses to the control board, or the pulse rate is out of range. The board can't confirm how much water has entered the tub.

Symptoms

  • iF1 displayed during fill phase
  • Fill is normal but cycle aborts
  • Repeated retries before fault posts

Common Causes

1
Debris jamming the flow meter impeller

Particles from the supply line lock the small turbine inside the meter.

2
Failed flow meter Hall sensor

Internal sensor stops outputting pulses.

3
Broken or unseated wiring to the meter

Loose harness pin or chafed wire.

4
Faulty control board input

Board input circuit failed to count pulses.

How to Fix It

  1. Shut water and power off; remove the flow meter from the fill path.
  2. Flush the meter and check that the internal turbine spins freely.
  3. Reseat the harness connector at both ends.
  4. Replace the flow meter if it doesn't spin or doesn't pulse.
  5. If a known-good flow meter still throws iF1, replace the control board.
