How to fix it

  1. Press the Ice On/Off button until the display shows ICE ON.
  2. Verify water supply is on and the inlet valve is not frozen.
  3. Allow up to 24 hours for first batch.
  4. If ICE OFF returns on its own, troubleshoot the ice maker fill cycle (valve, line, sensor).

Why it happens

Typical signs: ICE OFF on display · Ice maker not producing · Water dispenser still works

  • User toggled ice maker off Pressed the Ice On/Off button.
  • Auto-disabled after fill-time failure On some models the board disables ice if a fill cycle fails repeatedly.

Replace your water filter

A clogged or overdue water filter is a common cause of low water and ice flow on Frigidaire refrigerators — they are meant to be changed about every 6 months. The OEM-style filter that fits most Frigidaire refrigerators is the WF3CB ($35-50 OEM, $12-20 compatible).
