How to fix it

  1. Let the cycle finish — Sud routine clears itself most of the time.
  2. Switch to HE-labeled detergent only (look for the HE symbol).
  3. Reduce detergent dose to 1–2 tablespoons per load.
  4. Run a Clean Washer / Tub Clean cycle empty to flush residual soap.
  5. If Sud appears with proper detergent and small loads, inspect the pressure hose for blockage.
